Studio Weave were collaborated with Architecture00 to develop workspace proposals which addressed co-working aspirations and needs with a carefully slayered and phased approach to physical improvement. The practical requirements for use were delivered promptly – general data, lighting, and power provision were set out to accommodate flexibility – allowing anchor tenants to begin testing the space prior to finalising the spatial layout. The permanently fixed ‘building fabric’ layer was then designed with continuous and robust floor, wall and soffit finishes throughout anticipating adaptability. On top of this neutral backdrop, a semi-mobile ‘joinery’ layer comprised a family of complementary furniture which could be reconfigured to suit changing dynamics.

After a number of years using the flexible space, the anchor tenants were able to commit to a small number of temporarily fixed ‘joinery partitions’ to provide extra private lettable and/or meeting space.
