In 2015, we joined forces with Architecture 00. Together, we enjoy collaborating in a shared environment where strategic, urban and social designers, architects, programmers and economists practice design beyond its traditional borders. 00 work with individuals, governments, corporations and communities to solve problems and anticipate change, and to design successful platforms and places. As a studio it aims to reach beyond the design of objects themselves to the social, economic and environmental systems behind them.
Studio Weave and Architecture 00 have won an invited contest for a new 0.8km High Line-style project in Camden, north London.
The Camden Highline – a new public park, a 0.8km garden walk, 18 metres wide, and 8 metres high, on a disused elevated railway line would create a new type of green infrastructure for walking and cycling, and link Camden Town to King’s Cross by a 10-minute walk.
Camden Town Unlimited are carrying out a crowdfunding campaign to take the project to the next stage. This means carrying out more detailed feasibility work, which includes understanding the existing condition of the infrastructure including site appraisals and surveys. The campaign will also help pay for exhibitions, events and workshops that will guide the project.
