Studio Weave were commissioned to deliver a research project and exhibition considering contemporary interests in housing, and how the housing market relates to the way we live in the 21st century. The project was delivered in partnership with a three-part BBC FOUR series, ‘Dan Cruickshank: At Home with the British’, which centred on the historical development of the British home. The commission invited six contemporary architecture practices to use material from the RIBA Collections to review the departure from vernacular housing of the past to the range of housing types in present day city living.
