In 2015, we joined forces with Architecture 00. Together, we enjoy collaborating in a shared environment where strategic, urban and social designers, architects, programmers and economists practice design beyond its traditional borders. 00 work with individuals, governments, corporations and communities to solve problems and anticipate change, and to design successful platforms and places. As a studio it aims to reach beyond the design of objects themselves to the social, economic and environmental systems behind them.

Our proposal for the BBC Television Centre Kiosk celebrates the rich and peculiar history of the site - of forming portholes and glimpses into many other worlds - through the reincarnation of a gatehouse, framing the entrance to the forecourt and park beyond.

The structural monocoque structure is split into two volumes, accommodating two businesses at one time if necessary, as well as creating a permeable link for the public to flow through a lush ‘winter garden’ throughout colder and wetter seasons. He nestles on the forecourt terraces, a major new public space for the development, welcoming the visitors and residents into the neighbourhood.
